The Shaker Schools Foundation provides opportunity scholarships to assist students in exploring educational and athletic opportunities outside of school. Please complete this application to apply for a “Beyond the Desk” scholarship (arts and academics) or a “Level the Playing Field” scholarship (athletics).

Fill out one application per student. Applications must be filled out by the student’s parent or legal guardian. Students are asked to fill out the student statement.
Please limit requests to a maximum of one activity per grant period (late August-December, January-early June, and summer). Funds are limited.
Please apply at least 3 weeks before the activity begins.

Funds are limited. Applicants will be notified within 10 business days of the status of the application. If funds are awarded, they will be issued directly to the presenting organization or reimbursed to the parent/guardian with paid receipt and proof of enrollment. At the completion of the activity, students are asked to provide a brief reflection document about the activities that took place and what they learned. Photos are appreciated as well, if available.
